About Arlington Babe Ruth
We are the Arlington, MA, affiliate of Babe Ruth League, Inc., providing three seasons of baseball playing opportunities for the 13-15 year old age group.
- Fall Ball is a practice season for new players.
- Spring Season is our primary playing season during which teams from two skill levels play for two months starting in April, culminating in a Town Championship for each level. Basic level is called "Intermediates" and advanced level is called "Seniors". In 2014 a third component was added to Spring Season, called "Selects", comprised of current Intermediate and Senior players. The Selects travel and play against other leagues. Prizes are awarded and recognition given to players and volunteer managers/coaches at an annual banquet.
- Summer League is for those who want to continue playing for fun after the regular season.
Arlington Babe Ruth is a 501(3)(c) nonprofit organization recognized by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (see our Articles of Organization). Program fees are collected from player participants to the extent needed to cover our costs and to keep the league afloat. Typical expenses include payments to the Town of Arlington for use of fields and lights, as well as the ongoing cost of uniforms, equipment, umpires, trophies and other reasonable expenses that occur from time to time, such as banquet expenses not covered by banquet fees. Program registration is not confirmed until payment is received and there are no refunds. Our Federal ID number is 27-0940941.
